Internap Increases Capacity of Patented P-NAP Architecture

Internap Increases Capacity of Patented P-NAP Architecture

ATLANTA March 28, 2006- Internap Network Services Corporation (AMEX:IIP), a leading provider of performance-based routing solutions over the Internet, today announced that it has expanded its Private Network Access Point(R) (P-NAP), a central element within its unique Internet architecture providing seamless interconnectivity across multiple IP Networks.

As part of the Internap(R) portfolio of network-based route optimization solutions, the Atlanta-based company is now offering its High Performance IP via 10-gigabits-per-second (Gb/s) customer interfaces to provide a solution to support customer's rapidly increasing bandwidth requirements. The migration is designed to meet the increasing bandwidth needs of large content providers, online gaming and VoIP companies and supports the performance requirements of complex Internet applications.

"Our diverse roster of customers, ranging from large enterprises to small-mid sized companies, are increasingly building upon business models that did not exist as recently as 3 to 5 years ago," said James P. DeBlasio, chief executive officer, Internap. "Improving Internap's core P-NAP infrastructure better positions us to support the growth of innovative companies that are deploying new technologies, while improving our ability to enable applications that comprise the constantly changing face of the Internet."

Like the existing Internap Performance IP offering, the managed service will provide the industry's only IP solution that connects up to eight major Tier-1 backbones to enable high-bandwidth connectivity. The 10Gb service will be in select markets.

The new 10Gb interfaces allow Internap customers to grow bandwidth quickly and efficiently, while taking advantage of the intelligent route control available through the P-NAP architecture. The patented technology intelligently routes traffic across an inherently multi-homed network to avoid congestion problems, degradations and outages. Customers can seamlessly connect to a P-NAP via local loops or colocate within an Internap data center for resilient, reliable and predictable IP performance.

In addition to its proprietary P-NAP design, Internap enhances its IP portfolio by providing customers with 24x7x365 proactive Network Operations Center (NOC) support. The Internap performance IP also includes one of the industry's leading service level agreements, which includes 100% network availability across the public Internet.
